Join Better Ventures PreSeed for an intimate discussion with legendary social impact seed investor Mitch Kapor, Founder and Partner of Kapor Capital and the Kapor Center for Social Impact. Mitch is a pioneer of the personal computing industry: he was founder and CEO of Lotus Development Corporation which lead the way for personal computer applications and was subsequently acquired by IBM for $3.5 billion in 1995. 

At Kapor Capital, Mitch works at the seed stage, investing in teams that leverage the power of technology to address urgent social needs. Mitch and Kapor Capital have a deep commitment to diversity and they believe that teams from under-represented backgrounds provide a competitive edge. His current investments include Twilio, Uber, Clever and Class Dojo.

Mitch also serves as co-Chair of the Kapor Center for Social Innovation, which works with startups using information technology platforms to drive disruptive innovation. He also serves on the board of Level Playing Field Institute, whose mission is to enhance equal opportunity in education and the workplace. On top of all that, Mitch is a co-founder of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, which protects freedom and privacy on the Internet and was the founding chair of the Mozilla Foundation, creator of the open source web browser Firefox.
